without speaking with you first.

Purchasing a pet from us is a simple process but it is not quite as whimsical as walking into a pet store and walking out with a new pet. We do not ask people to fill out an application but before we agree to sell one of our animals we want to feel comfortable with the person who is buying a pet from us. We want to know that our animals are going to homes where they will be well cared for and cherished for the rest of their lives. If we feel that you are not quite ready to purchase a pet from us we will let you know.

We will NEVER commit to the sale of any animal via email or text messaging nor will we ever invite you (who is most likely a stranger) to our home for a visit or to view one of our animals, without first talking with you by phone.

We receive dozens of emails daily! As much as we do look forward to hearing from you; we feel that emailing or text messaging is best used for basic 'yes or no'  type questions that require simple answers. It doesn’t replace open and honest dialog especially when it comes time to the selling, purchasing, reserving a pet or when scheduling an appointment with us.

Most of our communication between us when selling a pet and follow-up is done by phone conversations. Purchasing or selling a pet is an emotional process and both parties need to feel good about the decision they are making regarding the sale of or purchase of a pet. At least one conversation is needed to introduce ourselves to one another and to make sure both the seller and the purchasers are making an informative decision. It is only natural that we will want to know a bit about one another and both parties will likely have several questions to ask. So before calling, please read the information that is made available on our website then make a list of questions that you are curious about. But if you forget to ask something don't worry, you can always call us again. 

Before you decide to purchase a new pet, we want you to be able to make an informed decision. When you call,  just know that we do not need to try to sell anyone anything and we are never in rush for our animals to leave. We know that they all will find the right homes eventually so we  are not going to try to make a sale. We will need to discuss some of the pros and cons of owning this type of pet.  During our conversation, please feel free to ask any question that pertains to that animal that you are thinking about getting. We feel that it is better to ask the question beforehand, as simple as it may be, then to go on thinking that you are doing the right thing. We always answer honestly and if we do not know the answer we will tell you that.

After we have spoken, if we can not meet your expectations or if you decide that you would rather wait or purchase a pet at a later date or from elsewhere, just let us know. We won’t be offended. After all, not everyone who calls wanting to purchase an animal from us gets one. Sometimes we must say no. Sometimes they are just not the ‘perfect-match’ for that animal or sometimes the animal is not really what they thought it would be.
